Escaped Ink is a brand new, independent British press, showcasing flash fiction and creative non-fiction from brand new and experienced authors alike. Run by Emma Kalson, we heavily promote each accepted submission on social media and we aim to be a paying market. To help this we have set up a Patreon account, run a tip jar on the submission form and will sell beautiful print and eBook collections of our best submissions.
About Emma
Emma is a writer and lover of words. As a child, she was regularly caught reading whole books in one sitting, and normally finished reading her holiday books before the family had even left the house. Since developing M.E. fifteen years ago, and with a more recent fibromyalgia diagnosis, she discovered short story form suits her health, both reading and writing, and enables her to continue indulging her love of literature.
Emma is passionate about publishing and helping promote new authors, and is experienced in running small independent presses. Based in Nottingham, UK, she also runs local writing workshops and helps writers self-publish through a range of services.
